Job summary

The Certified Medical Assistant I at MUSC Community Physicians, part of MUSC Children's Health, supports a decentralized patient-centered care model under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will perform multi-skilled clinical tasks to aid in efficient patient flow and outcomes.

The role requires completion of an accredited medical assisting program; CMA certification is preferred along with current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program; CMA, CCMA, CMA, NCCT, NAHP, or similar certifications are preferred or required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform multi-skilled medical assisting duties to assist clinicians and improve outcomes.
