Job summary

Memorial Medical Center Las Cruces is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for Bone & Joint to join our full-time day shift. You will assist with patient assessments, perform basic diagnostics, collect specimens, and document care under physician or nurse supervision.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance and administrative duties such as scheduling and data entry. Education required includes a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited medical assisting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent required.
• License as CCMA, CMA or RMA is required or eligible.

• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition; document care provided.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; keep examination areas clean and stocked.

How You'll Contribute

A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who excels in this role:

• Under the supervision of physicians or nurses, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Shift: M-F 8:00A-5:00P

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
• License: CCMA, CMA or RMA
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.
