Job summary

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for its Cardiology team. The role operates on a full-time daytime schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and focuses on patient assessments, basic diagnostics, and patient care documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited medical assisting program, plus a CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or eligibility, with BLS to be obtained within 60 days of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program or equivalent required.
• Certification as CCMA, CMA or RMA preferred (or eligible).
• BLS certification to be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under physician or nurse supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care given.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, including reorder, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties: filing, scheduling, data entry, patient registration.

How You'll Contribute

• Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Shift: M-F 8:00A-5:00P

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
• License: CCMA, CMA or RMA
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.
