Job summary

Tenet Florida Physician Resources is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians with daily operations, maintain efficient patient flow, and assist with exams, procedures and patient education under the supervision of a physician.

You will perform triage, monitor and record vitals, and ensure proper documentation of office visits. EKG and phlebotomy are included where applicable; a high school diploma or MA program completion and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years of relevant healthcare experience in lieu of program.
• MA certification required through one of the listed boards (90 days to obtain).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or 3 years healthcare experience required; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with daily operations of the physician’s office.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care, exams, procedures and education.
• Perform triage and monitor/record vitals.
• Perform EKG and Phlebotomy where applicable.

Job Summary

$2,500 Sign on Bonus

The Certified Medical Assistant to assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office. Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician. Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients. Ensures medical documentation of office visits. Assist with Office and scheduling coordinator in their absence (if necessary).

• Ensure that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner

Qualifications

Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED

Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program

Certification:

Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)

Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma

Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
