Job summary

The Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy office. You will aid with exams, patient education, and procedures while maintaining patient flow and documentation.

Responsibilities include triage, vitals, EKG, phlebotomy as applicable, and acting as a scheduling backup. A strong focus on courteous patient interactions is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years healthcare experience in lieu required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, ARMA or HPRUS) with 90 days to obtain.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or 3 years healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with daily operations of the physician's office.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care under physician supervision.
• Perform triage and monitor/record vitals for visiting patients.
• Perform EKG and Phlebotomy as applicable.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation of office visits.
• Assist with scheduling in absence of the scheduling coordinator.
• Maintain friendly, courteous, and professional contacts with patients and staff.

Job Summary

$2,500 Sign on Bonus

Qualifications

Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED

Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program

Certification:

Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)

Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma

Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
