Job summary

Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in daily office operations, maintain efficient patient flow, and provide exams, procedures, and patient education under supervision.

The role includes triage, vitals monitoring, documentation, and support for scheduling when needed. A Medical Assistant certification is required within 90 days of hire and BLS is mandatory; prior MA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the program.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required within 90 days from hire (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, ARMA, or HPRUS).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physician with daily operations of the physician’s office.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care and education.
  • Perform triage, monitor and record vitals for visiting patients.
  • Perform EKG and Phlebotomy as applicable.
  • Ensure accurate medical documentation of office visits.
  • Maintain courteous, helpful contacts with patients and staff.

Job Summary
$2500 Sign on Bonus

Certified Medical Assistant to assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office. Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician. Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients. Ensures medical documentation of office visits. Assist with Office and scheduling coordinator in their absence (if necessary).

  • Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patient
  • Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable

  • Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner
Qualifications
Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED

Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program

Certification:

Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)

Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma

Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
