Job summary

Tenet Florida Physician Services seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support physician operations, ensure smooth patient flow, and assist with exams and patient education. The role includes triage, vitals, EKG/Phlebotomy as appropriate, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years relevant experience, and current BLS certification. Sign-on bonus is offered for new hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the listed organizations (will allow 90 days to obtain certification).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with daily operations of the physician’s office.
• Maintain efficient patient flow; assist with patient care, exams, procedures, and education under physician supervision.
• Perform triage and record vitals for visiting patients; assist with EKG and Phlebotomy as applicable.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation of office visits and professional contacts with patients and staff.

Job Summary

$2500 Sign on Bonus

Certified Medical Assistant to assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office. Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician. Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients. Ensures medical documentation of office visits. Assist with Office and scheduling coordinator in their absence (if necessary).

• Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable

• Ensure that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner

Qualifications

Education:

• Required: High school diploma or GED
• Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program

Certification:

• Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)
• Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

• Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma
• Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
