Job summary

Saint Francis Medical Partners is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in daily office operations. You will help ensure smooth patient flow, assist with exams and procedures, and educate patients under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include triage, vitals, EKG and phlebotomy as applicable, plus maintaining accurate medical records and courteous patient interactions. An accredited MA program or 3 years in healthcare is required, with BLS and certification within 90

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR 3 years relevant work experience in lieu of program.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required through NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, ARMA, or HPRUS (will allow 90 days to obtain).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • 1+ year relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physician with daily operations of the office.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with exams, procedures and education.
  • Perform triage, monitor and record vitals for patients.
  • Perform EKG and Phlebotomy as applicable.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of office visits.
  • Maintain professional, friendly interactions with patients and staff.

Job Summary
$1000 Sign on Bonus

Certified Medical Assistant to assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office. Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician. Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients. Ensures medical documentation of office visits. Assist with Office and scheduling coordinator in their absence (if necessary).

  • Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner
Qualifications
Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED

Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program

Certification:

Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)

Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma

Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
