Job summary

Cullman Internal Medicine PC is seeking two Medical Assistants to join our clinic of 10 doctors and 13 nurse practitioners. The role blends clinical and clerical tasks, with most patient contact conducted by phone. Candidates should be flexible to support any area within the practice and adapt to daily needs.

Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with shifts starting at 7:45 AM and ending when the last patient is seen. Overtime may occur depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience returning patient calls, refills, prior authorizations, scheduling outside testing, and referrals.
• Assist with flu injections during flu season.
• Collaborate with all office personnel as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and OSHA requirements.

Are you an experienced Medical Assistant seeking a new home? Cullman Internal Medicine (CIM) is in need of two Medical Assistant's to join our practice of 10 Doctors and 13 Nurse Practitioners.

This Medical Assistant position is unique; Our MA's take on a Clerical role, requiring you sit at a desk, with all or most patient interactions being by phone. This role is best suited for someone flexible and adaptable as you will be required to support any area needed within the practice and can change day to day.

Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday- Friday. This position will be required to work 7:45am-5pm (or last patient completed). Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.

To qualify for this position, you must have two years experience within the following

• CCMA with 2 years of clinical experience, CMA(AAMA)/LPN/RN.
• Returning patient calls, refills, prior authorizations, scheduling outside testing, and referrals.
• Assist with walk in Flu injections during flu season.
• Collaborating with all office personnel as needed.
• Maintaining strictest confidentiality, binding to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
• Adhering to all Compliance guidelines/regulations, and OSHA requirements.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions/ and communicate effective with others.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
