Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring comfort
• Support clinical staff with procedures including medication administration.
• Document patient interactions accurately using medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols in outpatient or inpatient settings

Requirements

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and pharmacology for medication administration
• Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling and documentation
• Ability to perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, and supporting inpatient or outpatient care teams
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service and compassionate care.
