Join the MercyOne Family! We are hiring a Medical Assistant at our MercyOne Cancer Center.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Escort patients to exam rooms, collect and document data including chief complaint, allergies, vital signs, pain level, medication history, and fall risk. Prepare exam rooms and assist with exams/procedures.
2. Perform lab/diagnostic tests following policies and universal precautions, report critical values, and maintain quality controls.
3. Assist with scheduling patient appointments, tests, and referrals; provide patient education as needed.
4. Complete charge tickets, submit charges electronically, and obtain diagnoses from providers. Handle billing supplies and services.
5. Administer medications safely, document administration, and maintain competency across various routes.
6. Follow up on phone messages and notify providers as necessary.

Schedule:

• Part Time – 32 hours/week
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) required.
