Job summary

Allergy Partners, a national allergy and asthma care network, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join a collaborative Frisco team. You will support providers, perform clinical tasks, document patient information, and assist with testing and injections while ensuring quality patient care and safety.

You will handle administrative duties, coordinate with the team, and contribute to efficient clinic operations in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a medical practice is preferred.
• OSHA guidelines knowledge for ambulatory practices.
• Understanding of medical record documentation standards.
• Understanding of medical coding for billing.
• Proficient with email and internet applications.
• Familiar with EMR, practice management and word processing software.
• Strong communication with physicians.
• Neat, professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greets patient and escorts them from the waiting room to exam rooms.
• Prepares patients for exam or treatment and takes vital signs.
• Assists physicians when requested and supports clinical workflows.
• Performs allergy prick or intradermal testing as ordered.
• Performs Spirometry and other breathing tests as ordered.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for testing and treatment.
• Delivers patient education and administers injections as allowed.
• Completes documentation in the EMR to reflect services provided.
