Job summary

Allergy Partners seeks a Medical Assistant to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The role supports providers, conducts essential testing, documents patient care, and educates patients and families as requested by the physician.

The candidate will assist in clinical and administrative duties, maintain supplies, and help coordinate referrals and insurance processes within Allergy Partners policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a medical practice is preferred.
• High school diploma required; CMA/RMA certification or ABR-OE is preferred.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records and practice management software.
• Good communication skills and neat, professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greets patient and escorts them to exam rooms; preps patients for exam or treatment and takes vital signs.
• Provides assistance to physicians when requested.
• Performs allergy/prick testing or intradermal testing per physician orders.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for testing and treatment.
• Documents assessments and care delivery in the EMR; liaises between providers and patients.
• May cross-train on front office tasks such as scheduling and payments.
