Job description

We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant in Shacklefords, Virginia.

This role will include coverage at offices located in Glocester, Hudgins, and Quinton.

This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity with GREAT BENEFITS!!!

This position supports on-site Physical Therapy, virtual Cardiology, and virtual Lab. Additionally, support may be required at local rehab centers based on volumes.

As a Medical Assistant, you will perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT, or Paramedic) required.
3. Existing Medical Assistants hired prior to 12/1/14 may obtain the Cert MA or Reg MA certification or obtain the Assessment Based Recognition Order Entry (ABR-OE) prior to 6/30/15.
4. BLS required within 90 days of hire.
5. Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or one year experience as an EMT, Paramedic, and/or Corpsman preferred.
6. Phlebotomy experience preferred, plus experience with electronic medical records.
