Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks a Certified Medical Assistant at Providence Medical Group in Kansas City, KS. The role supports clinical and administrative tasks, including vital signs, exam preparation, and coordinating appointments.

Days, 8-hour shifts (no weekends), 8:00am–4:30pm. Requires MA program grad, active BLS, CMA/RMA credential, and clinic experience preferred. Full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants or Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting.
• Current BLS certification on hire and maintained
• Current CMA/RMA credential from a nationally recognized organization
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers with routine treatments and patient care needs
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointments

CertifiedMedical Assistantswillsupport both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs,assistingwith procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments.Medical Assistantswill work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.
