Job Overview

Full Time Medical Assistant

Health Care Resource Centers is seeking an organized and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to greet patients, schedule appointments, and collect personal information. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting practitioners with treatments, and collecting lab samples.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Certified or registered Medical Assistant
• Phlebotomy skills required
• CPR/BCLS certification
• Knowledge of State, DEA regulations, TJC, and CARF accreditation
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Ability to build rapport with patients and demonstrate a non-judgmental attitude towards Substance Use Disorder population
• 1-2 years healthcare experience preferred
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

1. Schedule and verify patient appointments, prepare medical records
2. Check in patients, record vital signs, and update electronic charts
3. Assist medical staff during patient intake and treatments
4. Obtain blood and non-blood specimens for testing
5. Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms and equipment
6. Perform secretarial duties and maintain reports
7. Manage communications and file lab results
8. Participate in staff meetings and trainings
9. Perform other duties as assigned
