Novant Health Pine Lake Family in Matthews, NC, is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a patient-centered team. This dual role covers front desk duties two days a week and clinical support three days, delivering safe, high-quality care and smooth patient flow within our practice population.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, NHA, AMT, ARMA, NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, or AAH.
• Candidates not certified at time of hire must obtain certification or registration within six months of employment.
• Current State Driver's License required for Palliative Care positions only.
• Demonstrated ability to complete organizational, departmental, and role-specific competency assessments.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and service excellence.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

Education

Experience

Certification/Licensure

• Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is required through one of the following approved organizations:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • National Health Career Association (NHCWA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
  • American Allied Health (AAH)

Candidates who are not currently certified at the time of hire must obtain certification or registration within six (6) months of employment and will be required to sign an education agreement.
