Job summary

Novant Health seeks a qualified medical assistant to coordinate and assist the provider, ensuring safe, quality‑ and cost‑effective care for the practice population. You will support clinicians in a fast‑paced setting, contributing to patient flow and accuracy of records.

Education: High School Diploma or GED; CMA/CCMA/RMA/ARMA/NHA/NCCT/NAHP or AAH RMA with ARMA credentials required (or obtainable within 6 months). A valid state driver’s license is required for applicable roles.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous work in a medical office preferred.

  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
  • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
• Experience:Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
• Additional skills required:Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
