Job summary

Novant Health Lakeside Locust is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support providers and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced clinic. The CMA will assist with intake, vital signs, documentation, and procedures while maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance.

As a CMA, you’ll contribute to safe, high-quality care and positive patient experiences, working with a team dedicated to service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current certification from CMA, CCMA, RMA or other approved registries, or code to obtain within 6 months.
• Current State Driver's License (Palliative Care Only) required.
• Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing.

Novant Health Lakeside Locust clinic is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant. The CMA is to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population.

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you'll play an integral role in supporting our providers and delivering exceptional care that improves the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required.
  • Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
