Ascension Health in Fishers, IN, seeks a Medical Assistant in the OBGYN department. The role supports patients and providers, handles room preparation, documentation, and front-office tasks in a busy outpatient setting.
The position requires BLS within 30 days and Medical Assistant credentials within 90 days, with a high school diploma or equivalent or 1 year related experience. The schedule is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, in a supportive team environment.

Direct Patient Support: Assist providers with patient examinations, measure vital signs, and execute ordered treatments and procedures under supervision.
Clinical & Administrative Flow: Prepare treatment rooms, maintain a clean environment, and manage basic materials ordering and stacking to ensure operational efficiency.
Accurate Documentation: Interview patients for medical history, accurately chart all information, and precisely transcribe provider orders for lab tests, radiology, and medications.
Front-Office Management: Handle critical clerical duties, including answering calls and maintaining organized patient records to support a seamless practice flow.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
