Position Summary:

Sovah Danville is looking for the ideal candidate to perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office.
• Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Document patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in Medical Assistant requiredor certificate from a college in Medical Assistant in lieu of an Associate's required.

Required Skills:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

• Certified Medical Assistant Certificate or Registered Medical Assistant required. "Registry must be by the State Board of Nursing or a National registry required."

• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
