Diversicare is seeking a Certified Med Aide/Tech to join our clinical team. You will work under the supervision of licensed nurses to administer medications, monitor residents, and document care in the chart as part of daily routines.

Qualifications

• Must have completed state approved school of medication administration.
• Must carry current acknowledgment card or state-issued certification.
• Must abide by restrictions placed on job by state agency.
• Must be a certified nursing assistant.

Responsibilities

• Administer PRN medications under supervision of licensed nurse or physician.
• Organize medication duties and document routine meds and PRN meds as instructed.
• Document PRNs according to State Standards.
• Observe and report adverse reactions or side effects of medications.
• Record vital signs prior to meds that may affect vitals.
• Prepare and administer prescribed meds after setup and document in chart.
• Count narcotics and document accordingly as directed by charge nurse.
