Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a Certified Med Aide/Tech to join our team. You will support licensed nurses and provide essential medication administration and patient care in a skilled-nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a state-approved school of medication administration.
• Must carry current acknowledgment card or certification issued by state agency.
• Must be willing to abide by restrictions placed on the job by state agency.
• Must be a certified nursing assistant.

Responsibilities

• Administers PRN medications after authorization by licensed nurse or physician.
• Organizes assigned medication duties to pour, pass and document routine medications.
• Document all PRN meds according to State Standards.
• Observe and report reactions and side effects to the licensed nurse.
• Take and record vital signs prior to administration of medications that affect vitals.
• Administer and document prescribed medications after preparing them.
• Notify the licensed nurse after emergencies and document the activity.
• Count narcotics and document them as required by the charge nurse.
