Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our apartment communities in Birmingham, AL. You will perform routine service calls and urgent repairs, ensuring safe and reliable climate control.

The ideal candidate holds HVAC/EPA certification with at least 2 years of residential or multifamily experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• HVAC/EPA Certification required with at least 2 years of experience in residential or multifamily HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; able to work independently and with others.
• Excellent communication and customer service; professional demeanor.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in tight spaces (attics, rooftops).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; experience with maintenance software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems including A/C units, heat pumps, and furnaces, while performing routine preventative maintenance.
• Respond to work orders and emergencies in a timely manner, maintaining accurate service records and managing tools/inventory.
• Collaborate with property teams to prioritize repairs and ensure compliance with HVAC codes and safety standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service by communicating with residents and assisting with general maintenance or on-call duties.
