Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to deliver specialized rehabilitation for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, custom splinting, post-surgical rehab, and collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, a DPT or OT doctorate preferred, and 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab; CPR/BLS; CHT credential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OT Doctorate preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability of the patient.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; provide scar management and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
