Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead upper-extremity rehabilitation, including hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder care. You will assess patients, formulate care plans, and deliver targeted therapeutic interventions in collaboration with surgeons and the therapy team.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy preferred, CHT credential, and current CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and OT/PT credentials as applicable.
• CHT credential and CPR/BLS certification preferred or required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient condition and establish plan of care for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehab.
• Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services and outcomes.
• Direct and supervise OTAs, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehab including scar management and edema control.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and other therapists in care planning.
