Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation. The role focuses on evaluation, splinting, and developing recovery plans within a collaborative care team.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with a DPT/OT preferred, active state licensure, and CHT credential. Experience in upper-extremity rehab and post-surgical care is preferred; comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OT doctorat y preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• CPR/BLS certification currently valid.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability of the patient.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions
