Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Tulsa is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and deliver custom splints.

You will also supervise OT assistants and students, fabricate orthoses, and manage post-surgical rehab, scars, and edema while collaborating with hand surgeons and the broader care team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehab therapies.
• Document OT services delivery.
• Direct supervision of OT assistants and students.
• Design and fit custom hand orthoses and splints.
• Post-surgical and injury rehabilitation; scar management, edema, wound care, return-to-work.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
