Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a forklift operator to safely operate LP powered industrial trucks with tilting forks, moving materials within storage areas and loading docks. You will follow schedules, maintain records, and ensure loads are secured in a safe, efficient manner.

Requirements include a High School diploma, a clean driving record, forklift certification, and at least two years of experience positioning forks around pallets and loads.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and a valid state license may be required.
• Forklift certification required and performed onsite per OSHA standards.
• Two years of experience positioning forks around pallets, skids, or loads.
• Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills.
• High degree of attention to prevent injury to yourself and others.
• Ability to inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Obtaining a copy of the production schedule and transporting materials to and from designated areas in the facility.
• Providing raw materials or stock to production machines per the production schedule.
• Loading/unloading goods from truck and trailers.
• Moving goods around the facility on slip sheets and pallets.
• Stacking goods in storage bays following inventory control procedures.
• Checking loads are secure; and
• Removing waste materials from machines.
• Maintain a clean & safe environment.
