Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a forklift operator to load, unload, and move materials within our New Berlin facility, operating powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.

You will follow production schedules, perform daily equipment checks, and maintain clean, safe work areas. A High School diploma or equivalent, basic math/reading skills, and forklift certification are required, with a valid driver's license and safe driving record preferred.

• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to load/unload materials and deliveries.
• Move materials to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks.
• Transport goods using pallets or slip sheets and stack in designated bays.
• Check loads are secure and perform daily forklift checks per OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow production schedules.

Position OverviewOperate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.ResponsibilitiesHigh School diploma or equivalent. Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment. Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner. Maintain a clean & safe environment.May be required to use an RF scanner gun.Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license may be required.Forklift certification per OSHA standards.QualificationsObtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility. Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines per the production schedule.Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.Moving goods packed on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility.Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions. Checking loads are secure.Stacking empty pallets. Performing daily equipment checks on the Forklifts, per OSHA guidelines. Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.
