Job summary

Quirk Auto Dealerships in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Certified Ford Transmission Technician for our busy Service Department. You will diagnose and repair transmission systems, perform rebuilds, and help keep vehicles on the road safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing automotive transmission issues.
• Familiar with Ford transmission tech would be a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, and A/C.
• Perform transmission inspections, repairs, rebuilds, replacements, and adjustments.
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to test components.
• Test-drive vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification.
• Provide the Service Advisor with estimates for additional repairs.
• Stay current with Ford bulletins, recalls, service procedures, and new technology.
• Manage and organize work time and activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience and certifications recommended.

• Perform transmission inspections, repairs, rebuilds, replacements, and adjustments.
• UseDiagnostic Equipment and Special Service tools to test vehicle components
• Test-driving vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification
• Providethe Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed
• Stay current with Ford technical bulletins, recalls, service procedures, and new technology.
• Experience in managing and organizing work time and work-related activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong willingness to learn.
• Previous experience and certifications recommended.
