Job summary

Quirk Auto Dealers in Quincy, MA is seeking an experienced Service Technician for our busy Service Department. Compensation will be based on experience and is paid hourly.

The ideal candidate uses diagnostic equipment, performs vehicle testing, diagnoses automotive systems, and provides repair estimates to the Service Advisor. We value organizing work, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, learn‑oriented approach. This is an in‑person, full‑time role.

Qualifications

Position Overview

There is an opportunity to begin a career at the best dealership group! Quirk is seeking an experienced Service Technician for our busy Service Department! Quirk Auto has opportunities for inspired and motivated individuals who have the desire and passion to succeed. Compensation will based on experience.

Key Required Proficiencies

• Using Diagnostic Equipment and Special Service tools to test vehicle components
• Test-driving vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification
• Diagnosing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, etc
• Providing the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed
• Assess individual client needs and think of innovative ways to get results

Preferred Skills

• Experience in managing and organizing work time and work-related activities
• 1-2 years experience as an automotive technician
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• State inspection license preferred
• A positive attitude
• Strong willingness to learn
