Job summary

Universal Health Services in Henderson, NV seeks a skilled Surgical Technician to assist surgeons with exposure and hemostasis, under RN supervision, and to attend to patients’ direct care needs. Maintains safety, privacy, and compliance, while anticipating surgeon needs during procedures.

Requires 3–5 years of surgical tech experience, CSFA/CSA/SA-C certification (NBSTSA/NSAA/ABSA accepted) and BLS. Technical degree in Surgical Technology; bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technology degree or program board eligible for SFA certification; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years surgical tech experience required; 5–8 years experience preferred.
• CSFA/CSA/SA-C certification and NBSTSA/NSAA/ABSA credentials accepted; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions during operations.
• Attends to patients’ direct care needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains integrity with respect to policies, safety, privacy and patient dignity.
• Anticipates needs of the surgeon and team to support perioperative procedures.
• Maintains dexterity and professional attitude in all procedures within scope.
