Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during operations under RN supervision. You will prepare the OR, drape patients, and maintain a sterile field, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include retracting tissue, maintaining hemostasis, sponging, suctioning, and assisting with wound closure and patient positioning. Opportunities to scrub and participate in mandatory education and call rotations are available.

Qualifications

• At least three years perioperative experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Knowledge of asepsis and infection control.
• Knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology and operative procedures.
• Knowledge of surgical theory and clinical dexterity to perform identified skills.
• CSFA/CSA certification maintenance is required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions.
• Prepare OR and drape patient; maintain sterile field.
• Retract tissue for optimal visualization; assist in hemostasis.
• Sponging and suctioning on operative sites; assist with wound closure.
• Move and position patient safely; assist with drainage and dressings.
• May scrub and perform other duties as assigned.
