Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an Echo Technician to perform comprehensive echocardiograms including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, TEE, and stress echo under supervision. The role requires RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI credentials, and BLS (ACLS preferred) with at least 1 year hospital experience.

Proficiency with Philips iE33/EPIQ and Epic is desirable. The technician will ensure patient safety, accurate data collection for billing, and maintain a clean, organized workflow while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred
• Current American Heart Association ACLS preferred
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required
• Experience with equipment including Philips iE33 and EPIQ, TEE probes (sterilization), and Epic preferred
• Work Experience: 1 year hospital experience preferred

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Completes forms/records/logs accurately for billing.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Supports department Quality Assurance through accurate data collection.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and with team.
• Resolves conflict and uses chain of command to drive outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency in echo procedures.
