Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an Adult Echocardiographer to perform comprehensive echocardiograms including 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, pulse wave Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, transesophageal echo, stress echo and related tests under supervision of non-invasive cardiology.

The ideal candidate will hold RDCS/ARDMS or RCS certification, have accredited echo training, and be proficient with Philips systems and Epic.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred
• High School Diploma and/or GED
• Current American Heart Association ACLS preferred
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required
• Experience with equipment including Philips ie33 and EPIQ, TEE probes, and Epic preferred

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Maintains organized and clean working environment and completes billing records.
• Demonstrates technical proficiency in all echo procedures.
