Qualifications

• .Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or accredited echo training program.
• .
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI required.
• Current ACLS preferred.
• Typing and computer skills preferred.
• Experience with hospital setting; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Demonstrates understanding of role in fire and disaster.
• Completes forms/records/logs accurately for billing.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Supports department QA through accurate data collection.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and with team.
• Resolves conflicts and uses chain of command to drive outcomes.
• Prioritizes STAT and routine orders.
• Demonstrates technical proficiency in all echo procedures.
• Assesses patient condition to provide additional views as needed.
• Manages supplies and forms within budget.
• Participates in mandatory education requirements.
