Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong payments domain background to drive end-to-end solutions and strategic roadmaps. The role requires deep understanding of payments rails, microservices, API integrations, and agile delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in Product Ownership, and are fluent with English; Spanish is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience and minimum 5+ years as a Product Owner.
• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Strong payments domain knowledge across lifecycle and systems (including channels, middleware, reporting, and reconciliation).
• Experience with microservices, containerized deployment, API integrations, and event-driven messaging (MQ, Kafka).
• Bilingual with Spanish strongly preferred.
• Experience with Visio, JIRA, Confluence.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
• Experience with payments rails (FedWire, CHIPS, SEPA, SWIFT, ACH, RTP, ISO).
• Hands-on experience with AI models/tools (Copilot, Claude) a plus.
• 5+ years total experience; fast learner and quick to pick up new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Refine requirements and perform end-to-end solutioning on critical payments programs.
• Drive requirements refinement with business, operations and tech stakeholders; document requirements; create high-level design and functional specs using Agile SAF artifacts.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering to deliver E2E technical solutions.
• Translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable platform designs and decompose initiatives into deliverable increments.
• Establish and enforce non-functional requirements including resiliency, scalability, SLA, security, observability, and operational readiness.
• Identify architectural impediments and drive remediation plans; evaluate multiple tech solutions for stakeholder decisions.
• Conduct architecture reviews and governance to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and risk controls.
• Partner with Product Managers, Project Managers, and Engineering to prioritize backlog items and ensure timely delivery.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience and Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner.
• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Strong domain knowledge in core payments products lifecycle and systems (including channels, middleware, payment engine, sanctions, reporting, accounting, clearing, etc)
• Strong knowledge of distributed architecture patterns, including microservices based design, containerized deployment models, API driven integrations, and event based messaging using platforms such as MQ and Kafka
• Bilingual with Spanish strongly preferred
• Expertise in evaluating technology tradeoffs, conducting architecture reviews, and guiding enterprise design decisions
• Experience using tools such as Visio, JIRA, Confluence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
• Experiences working with payments rails/products, such as FedWire, Chips, TCH, SEPA, Wires, ACH, Real Time Payments, SWIFT, ISO etc.
• Hands-on experience with AI models and tools, such as Copilot, Claude, etc a plus
• 5+ years overall experience required, Flexible, self-starter, fast-learner - willing and able to quickly learn new products, technologies and skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for performing requirements refinement and end to end solutioning on critical payments programs
• Drive requirements refinement process with business, operations and tech stakeholders; gather, analyze and document business and system requirements; create HLD and functional requirements using Agile SAF hierarchies (deliverable, epic, story)
• Work closely with stakeholders including Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams to provide E2E technical solutions which successfully deliver business functionalities
• Translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable, resilient platform designs, decompose complex initiatives into deliverable increments, and ensure alignment across core processing layers
• Establish and enforce non-functional requirements including resiliency, scalability, SLA, availability, security, observability, and operational readiness
• Identify architectural impediments, develop remediation plans, and drive resolution across business and technology stakeholders; evaluate and present multiple tech solutions for stakeholder decisioning
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide governance to ensure solutions comply with enterprise standards, technology strategies, and risk controls
• Partners with Product Managers, Project Managers, and Engineering teams to prioritize technology-focused backlog items and ensure timely delivery of business outcomes.
