Job summary

Holmes Lake Rehabilitation & Care Center in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to lead our nutrition program. The CDM will ensure high-quality dietary care for residents and promote health and well-being through proper nutrition.

Responsibilities include assessing residents' dietary needs, planning menus, supervising staff, ensuring food safety, and collaborating with nursing and therapy teams. A CDM credential is required; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• CDM credential required.
• Associate's degree in food service management, nutrition, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in a dietary management role within a skilled nursing facility or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary practices.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Nutritional Assessment: Conduct assessments of residents' dietary needs and preferences, collaborating with healthcare staff to create individualized meal plans.
• Menu Planning: Develop and implement nutritionally balanced menus that meet residents' dietary requirements, preferences, and regulatory standards.
• Supervision: Manage dietary staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure effective food service operations.
• Food Safety Compliance: Ensure all food safety and sanitation regulations are adhered to, including proper storage, preparation, and serving practices.
• Budget Management: Assist in managing the dietary department budget, controlling food costs, and minimizing waste while maintaining high-quality service.
• Resident Interaction: Foster a positive dining experience by interacting with residents, gathering feedback, and making adjustments to enhance satisfaction.
• Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing and therapy staff, to support residents' overall health goals.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of menus, dietary assessments, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
