Job summary

Winfield Senior Living in Kansas is seeking a Certified Dietary Director (CDM) to oversee all food service operations for our residents. You will plan menus, supervise the Dining Services team, and ensure meals are nutritious, safe, and compliant with regulations.

The role emphasizes budget-minded menu planning, staff recruitment and training, collaboration with care teams, and accurate nutrition documentation to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CDM certification or willingness to obtain
• ServSafe Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant food service management experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food preparation and meal service according to planned menus
• Supervise, train, and manage Dietary Aides and Cooks
• Recruit, onboard, and retain dining staff to minimize turnover
• Monitor and respond to residents’ nutritional needs and physician-ordered diets
• Order food, supplies, and equipment; inspect deliveries for quality, accuracy, and pricing
• Ensure compliance with dietary regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate in patient care meetings, contributing nutritional insights
• Maintain accurate and timely nutrition documentation
• Adapt menus to meet diverse dietary needs across living arrangements
• Implement systems to support regulatory compliance and high-quality outcomes
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with residents
