You will gather relevant reports, discuss history with referring physicians, and tailor equipment settings for accurate results. Responsibilities include real-time observation, recognizing pathologies, documenting findings, and maintaining records.

Competenze

• Vocational or Technical school Diploma is required.
• Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification is required (ARDMS or CCI).
• 1–3 years of technical ultrasound experience is required.
• BL S through the AHA is required.

Mansioni

• Prepares patient for ultrasound exam and positions them on the table per SOP; explains procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Obtains relevant imaging and diagnostic reports; consults with referring physician for history and exam selection.
• Sets up equipment and selects machine settings to ensure accurate results.
• Recognizes structures and differentiates artifacts from pathology; determines need for further evaluations.
• Observes patient throughout the exam and reports any changes in condition or complaints.
• Documents image details and labels studies; maintains exam records.
• Performs minor repairs/calibration and troubleshoots equipment when needed.
