Job summary

Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a local client in Newark, NJ to hire a Certified Dental Assistant for a temporary one-month assignment with potential extension. The role is Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, 35-hour week, with a 1-hour lunch. Pay ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, with CDA certification and NJ X-ray license required.

Primary duties include chairside assisting, radiography, instrument processing, and maintaining OSHA-compliant cleanliness while supporting the dental team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program
• Certification as a Dental Assistant in NJ
• Valid NJ radiologic technology license
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Seat patients and prepare treatment areas per procedure
• Assist doctor with four-handed dentistry during exams and treatment
• Operate suction equipment and prepare instruments
• Maintain dental instruments and ensure sterilization
• Assist in ordering and stocking clinical supplies
• Adhere to OSHA standards and client compliance policies
• Capture radiographs with digital imaging equipment

Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a local client in their search to hire a Certified Dental Assistant in Newark, NJ.

Type: Temp (one month with possible extension)

Shift: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, (35 hour work week, 1 hour lunch break)

The anticipated wage for this position is between $23/hr. - 25/hr.

Certification/licenses: CDA and X-ray license

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Seat patients, adjusts chairs and drapes patients with protective covers.
• Sets up each unit with proper supplies and instruments needed by postgraduate students during daily patient treatment.
• Performs Four-handed assisting with doctor during examination and treatment of patients.
• Operates suction equipment.
• Mixes endodontic and restorative materials.
• Maintains all dental instruments and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinic and dispensary area following OSHA regulations.
• Utilizes digital radiographic equipment to obtain images.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization. Restocks endodontic kits with proper instruments and materials.
• Assists supervisor in ordering and maintaining clinical supplies.
• Understands and adheres to client's compliance standards as they appear in client's corporate compliance policy, code of conduct and conflict of interest policy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education AND/OR Experience required:

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program
• Certification as a Dental Assistant in the state of NJ
• Valid dental radiologic technology license issued by NJ Department of Environmental Protection
• CPR certified

Pay Details:
