Job summary

Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a local client in Newark, NJ to hire a Certified Dental Assistant for a temporary position (one month with possible extension). The shift is Mon-Fri, 9am–5pm, 35 hours per week, with a one hour lunch break.

The anticipated wage ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, with pay details showing $25–$26 per hour. Candidates must hold the NJ CDA certification and X‑ray license, plus CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant in NJ.
• NJ radiologic technology license issued by NJ DEP.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Seat patients and drape with protective covers.
• Set up units with supplies needed for daily procedures.
• Provide four‑handed assisting with the doctor.
• Operate suction equipment and prepare sterilized instruments.
• Obtain radiographic images with digital equipment.
• Maintain clinic and dispensary cleanliness per OSHA.

Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a local client in their search to hire a Certified Dental Assistant in Newark, NJ.

Type: Temp(one month with possible extension)

Shift: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, (35 hour work week, 1 hour lunch break)

The anticipated wage for this position is between $23/hr. – 25/hr.

Certification/licenses: CDA and X-ray license

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Seat patients, adjusts chairs and drapes patients with protective covers.
• Sets up each unit with proper supplies and instruments needed by postgraduate students during daily patient treatment.
• Performs Four-handed assisting with doctor during examination and treatment of patients.
• Operates suction equipment.
• Mixes endodontic and restorative materials.
• Maintains all dental instruments and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinic and dispensary area following OSHA regulations.
• Utilizes digital radiographic equipment to obtain images.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization. Restocks endodontic kits with proper instruments and materials.
• Assists supervisor in ordering and maintaining clinical supplies.
• Understands and adheres to client’s compliance standards as they appear in client’s corporate compliance policy, code of conduct and conflict of interest policy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education AND/OR Experience required:

Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program

Certification as a Dental Assistant in the state of NJ

Valid dental radiologic technology license issued by NJ Department of Environmental Protection

CPR certified
