Rajal J Patel DDS PA in Orange, NJ is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will work chairside with the dentist in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment to support a range of procedures from restorations to X-ray imaging.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) required.
• Valid NJ Dental Radiography certification or eligibility.
• Prior chairside dental assisting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and preventive care
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patient visits
• Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following proper safety protocols
• Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and updates in dental practice management software
• Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed
• Greet patients and help create a welcoming, comfortable clinical environment
