Job summary

The Missouri Judiciary is seeking a Court Reporter to work with the judiciary and provide accurate verbatim transcripts of court proceedings. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

You will record and preserve court proceedings, produce transcripts, and support judges and other divisions as needed. Certification as a CCR is required within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications

• CCR certification per Missouri Supreme Court Rules.
• May hold Registered Professional Reporter; must obtain CCR within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Record and preserve all courtroom proceedings under the judge's direction; attend court sessions and record full verbatim records.
• Preserve records (printed or electronic) using accepted methods of recording, such as machine, shorthand or steno mask.
• Transcribe record of proceedings and provide transcripts to requesting parties.
• Perform courtroom duties, such as marking exhibits; assist judge; assist other divisions with court reporter duties when approved by the appointing judge.
