Job summary

The 16th Judicial Circuit of Missouri seeks a Certified Court Reporter to provide accurate verbatim transcripts of court proceedings. You will maintain electronic storage and manage exhibits, delivering transcripts upon request and ensuring compliance with court procedures.

Qualifications

• Certified Court Reporter (CCR) as per Rule 14 of the Missouri Supreme Court.
• Background screenings may be required, including education verification.
• Knowledge of court procedures, terminology and English grammar.

Responsibilities

• Record and preserve courtroom proceedings via verbatim methods.
• Transcribe records and provide transcripts on request within a reasonable time after fees are paid.
• Prepare letters, correspondence, forms, and other legal documents.
• Edit and proofread documents; maintain and update files.
• Generate reports and operate office equipment; mark exhibits.
• Perform other duties as required.
