Job summary

Acv-Auctions in Abilene, TX is seeking an on-site Auction Lot Associate to inspect incoming vehicles, document conditions, and support a smooth auction process. You will identify damages, capture photos, log details in the Vehicle Condition Report, and coordinate with staff to resolve issues and prepare for in-lane and online sales.

The role requires attention to safety, the ability to move vehicles, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in car auction industry or related role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail in verifying and recording vehicle information.
• Familiarity with auction procedures, terminology, and documentation.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Able to work in auction lot environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems by inspecting all customer vehicles at time of receipt; interior, exterior, odometer reading, trunk area, engine compartment, noting any damage or repair to frame, paint or other, engine noise, AC/heater operation, radio, tire condition, etc.
• Document vehicle condition by completing Vehicle Condition Report (VCR), taking digital pictures and computer data entry, preparing for in-lane and online sales.
• Communicate effectively with management and other staff to facilitate a seamless auction experience and resolve issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with auction procedures, policies, and safety guidelines, taking necessary actions to maintain a secure working environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned including locating and moving vehicles, starting and/or jump‑starting vehicles.

• Document vehicle condition by completing appropriate Vehicle Condition Report (VCR), taking digital pictures and computer data entry in a timely manner, preparing for in lane and online sales.
• Communicate effectively with management and other staff members to facilitate a seamless auction experience and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with auction procedures, policies, and safety guidelines, taking necessary actions to maintain a secure working environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to locating and moving vehicles, starting and/or jump‑starting vehicles, etc.
