Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks skilled Journeyman to assemble and repair boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels in the field per blueprints. The role involves rigging, alignment, and welding as required, with a strong emphasis on safety and precision.

Expect variable workloads and on-site work across metal fabrication settings. Proficiency with NCCER certifications, blueprint interpretation, and use of power and hand tools is essential, along with the ability to work at heights and follow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related field experience.
• Knowledge of NCCER, blueprints and standard shop practices.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and repairs boilers, tanks, vats and pressure vessels according to blueprints specifications.
• Locates reference points, aligns and positions components using levels, plumb bobs and measuring tools.
• Attaches rigging and signals crane operators for lifting components to position.
• Bolts, welds and frames structures; aligns tubes and drums as part of assembly.
• Performs minor maintenance or cleaning with tools; tests assembled vessels for leakage.
• Follows safety and project rules; supports other duties as required.
