Job summary

Bethel School District seeks an instructional paraeducator to provide behavior support to students under the supervision of the Behavior Analyst and certificated staff. Responsibilities include tutoring, delivering behavioral interventions, assisting with IEP goals, and maintaining student records.

The position requires meeting federal minimum employment requirements, holding a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of the Paraeducator Certificate Program or related credentials;

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the ParaPathways Assessment, Pearson Paraprofessional assessment, AA degree or higher, or related credentials.
• Completion of Washington State Paraeducator Certificate Program or state-funded pathway per requirements.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students individually or in small groups to support behavior change.
• Assist with development and monitoring of behavioral objectives and safety plans.
• Prepare teaching aids and assist with test administration.
• Maintain student records and provide feedback to staff and families.
