Job summary

Shultz Steel Company in California seeks a detail‑oriented Certification Clerk to issue and review customer certifications, match heat treatment data to shipments, and maintain certification records. You will use ERP/document databases and support data packs while following safety guidelines.

The role requires basic English literacy and MS Office proficiency, with at least 1 year of experience and a HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English.
• Experience with typing and using computer software (Microsoft Office, Excel).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines including PPE and equipment interaction.
• Issue, review and maintain production and supplier quality certifications as required.
• Review quality certifications against PO, drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist and/or prepare data packs for products as necessary.
• Coordinate with Quality Manager, Quality Engineers, or Operations to establish priorities.
• Scan and file documents including supplier certs daily.
• Update Quality document logs as required.
• Assist in documentation of quality requirements.
• Assist in quality systems processes including internal audits.
• Cross-train with facility administrator to provide back-up responsibilities.
• Assist in department projects.
• Order department supplies.
• All other duties as assigned.
